Painting with Toys & Book - "Dog Dog"

"Dog Dog"

This little oil painting was painted for a friend and fellow artist's little boy.   One of his favorite toys is his little stuffed pooch he calls "Dog Dog."  The book "Curious George" just happens to be his favorite book too. I had to include a little "bird" in the painting too, since "painting birds" is my specialty.

I think he really liked it.  Here is a photo of him receiving his surprise painting at my recent art show:

His father is one of the most talented artists I know named "Santiago."  You just have to take a look at his incredible paintings.  Here is a link to his website of amazing trains, planes and automobiles.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baseball Art - "The Rookie" - getting ready for Spring Training

"The Rookie"

I began this oil painting recently while getting ready for "Spring Training" in Arizona.  It has a curious little bird (a chickadee) looking into the "Rawlings" baseball glove.  The size of this painting is 9 x 12" and it is custom framed and for sale at the "Celebration of Fine Art" in Scottsdale, Arizona.

This show brings together 100 artists from all over the country.  We have three weeks left of this 10 week long event.  Here are a few snapshots of this "one of a kind" oil painting in progress:

Here I am working on the oil painting during the "Celebration of Fine Art" show

Detail of "The Rookie"

This is a one of a kind oil painting and will not be available in giclee (prints).  If you are interested in this painting, please contact me or visit the "Celebration of Fine Art" before March 23rd.
